Looking back at our maori history not so long ago we used to bath in the river, the lake, the sea, wait for it to rain, wherever we could find a puddle of water. But no matter what the circumstances were whanau was always number one. Looking after one another was part our cultures DNA. Well today things haven’t changed too much we still care for our Whanau our Mokopuna, our Kaumatua. The one thing that has changed is the way we care for them. Today we have bathrooms in our whare and public swimming pools. But still remains the ever present issue of bathing our physically impaired whanau without accident or injury.
